We are a multi-generational, family-owned and operated garden center that sits on 7 acres of land northeast of Columbus, Ohio. Since 1983, we have believed in providing high quality plants to the masses that will thrive in their homes and gardens.
Our greenhouse has something for everyone. Whether you are looking for vibrant annuals, perennials, rare houseplants, tropicals, succulents, or vegetable and herbs plants for your kitchen garden, we guarantee that you will find something for your home. Our team is ready to help guide you and cultivate a selection of plants that will help bring your vision to life.
Plants Grown In-House and Carefully Selected
Quality is at the heart of our business, and we are committed to providing our customers with the highest quality plants for their homes and gardens. Providing you with healthy plants that will thrive is what we pride ourselves on.
We grow 90% of the plants that we sell right in our own greenhouses. We grow every plant with care, and we even breed our own varieties. Our Coleus and Anthurium breeding programs are known around the world, and our collection is a sight to see. In addition to growing our own products and our one-of-a-kind varieties and crosses, we proudly partner with local nurseries and trusted growers across the country to bring a one of a kind selection to our customers.

Our team leads a globally recognized Coleus and Anthurium breeding program. We have created and developed exclusive varieties and crosses that are sold in house. The roots at Baker’s Acres Greenhouse have always been grounded in family and community. Started in 1983 by husband and wife team Nancy and Chris Baker, we have always cultivated a laid-back and fun atmosphere in our small business. Our legacy continues as The Baker’s son and daughter-in-law, Pam and Nick Baker, have taken over the business and carried on the same passion and care.
We have always been centered around bringing people together. This is why we love hosting community events that allow people to connect over something that they love. Plants! Creating a space for connection and sharing inspiration is how our business started. Through our local Columbus events, we create opportunities for members of our community to slow down and enjoy an experience together.
